What is the necessity of an alternate phone number?
Kho Kho is an intensive and injury prone game. Players stretch themselves and more so in a competitive tournament. We want to be in a position to inform parents/spouse just in case a critical communication need arises. We hope such a need doesn't arise at all. Still from a preparation standpoint, we request all players to provide alternate contact without fail. It is in the best interest of players.
What is the mechanism for conflict resolution?
We have hired external coaches to referee the tournament. The referee’s decision is final in case of conflicts. Organizers will get involved to the required extent in case of unresolved conflicts, as and when needed. Also only captains will be called by the referee for conflict resolution.
How will I get ongoing communication?
All the important information is being disseminated through standard communication modes of our society. In addition, captains will be added to a Whatsapp group by the organizers. The captains are requested to coordinate with their team members.
Who takes care of the safety of the audience (and kids especially)?
Safety of audiences of all ages is dear to us. However, the organizer's ability is very much limited in this regard. They will be fully occupied trying to run the games in a professional manner. We request all the audience to be watchful of court lines and please stay at least 1.5 m away from playing areas. Parents are urged to keep a close eye on kids running around. The ownership of safety of kids lies completely with parents.
